THE GATE
OVERGROWN TERRACE
At the beginning of work this location was just a valley with dense jungle around it. The interior design of the ruined temple, the covers system, and the gameplay were invented and developed by me in collaboration with two other level designers from the studio.
From the journal of Dr. Abraham Zahedi: "...Having reached further inside the forest than i believe anyone has, we came upon a gigantic gate that occupies the length of the horizon and blocks the only way forward..."

HORRIFIC SCULPTURES
Since the cutscenes for many of the levels had already been shot in mocap, these levels were already surrounded by jungles, aqueducts or waterfalls. But the interior design and gameplay was done by the leveldesigners.
The idea for the huge "monument" seen at the end of this arena was suggested by me, based on the already completed statues I have seen in other arenas on this level.
The design of this arena, the shelter system, and the gameplay were done by me.
From the journal of Dr. Abraham Zahedi: "...Everything seems to point August's ancestors having built this gate, the same lost civilization that built the ancient ruins we came from. Why would they build this gate? As the classic question goes: Were they trying to keep something out, or something in?..."

The GAte
The environment of this arena was already done, as there are two cutscenes at the very end of this level that were in final production at the time the gameplay was created and the arena design could not be changed.
The gameplay for this arena was created by me in cooperation with another level designer.
This arena completes the second third of the game, and the gameplay here is designed in such a way that any player error can be fatal, since the main opponents are creatures of medium, high, and higher difficulty with two bosses at the end.
